Just drop into warm water and the soap will activate and help to soften and cut thriugh the bugs, grime and muck you've picked up while riding. A bowl with a couple of litres of water is adequate, the more water you use to wash it out, the more diluted the soap becomes. Big buckets therefore need not apply!
The pad material is soft enough to use on all surfaces and big enough to unfold and refold a few times so you can ensure that you're always wiping with a clean bit of pad. Because the pads are flexible and thin, you can clean right into the tightest little corners (think of the groove in the back of the u-section on a 90's Honda alloy spoke!)
They are designed as a single use product, but you will be left with a soap free pad at the end of the job!
